Default Fish Oil and Acne

For those of you who suffer from acne, try taking fish oil everyday. It seems as if fish oil plays a regulatory role in sebum production, meaning that it allows the skin to produce just enough to avoid dryness while, at the same time, also avoiding oilyness. Hence, people who take fish oil have reported having less issues with dryness while at the same time, achieving a clearer complexion.

If you have $6 to spare, consider purchasing fish oil pills. Not only is it good for your health, but it could be even better for your skin.

Veronica, this is awesome advice. It is amazing that there are so many easy and natural remedies for things like acne. What is really great is that supplements like fish oil are so inexpensive too.

Fish oil is recommended for a healthy diet because it contains the omega 3 fatty acids. Fish oil tablets are not only considered productive for anybody’s health, they are also of help in increasing insulin sensitivity. This means that at the time you use them above than a certain level of carbohydrate foods, your body adapts to utilize these Omega 3 fatty acids in a proper way to build new muscles and even repair the wear and tear in muscles. Some experts believe that taking fish oil can help regulate cholesterol in the body which has a positive effect on body composition.

Why Use Fish Oil for Acne?

Its anti-inflammatory effects reduce redness and puffiness of acne lesions.

Improves skin texture by increasing hydration within the skin cell.

Balances mood, reducing stress, thus lowering sebum production.

Reduces skin cell production (keratin) resulting in less trapped sebum which can cause acne.

May affect the size of the sebaceous glands reducing sebum output.

Regulates over-production of androgens, hormone causes oil production leading to acne.
