i respect companies and scientist who research and come up with products that heals the pain instead of just temporarily relieving from it, with majority in china (e.g. herbal snogg patches);
for instance, using organic honey, raspberry jam - help you to cure flu and cold;
contrast showers - significantly improve immune system in a very short time, helping you to avoid many health problems; and many many more...
it's never late to start practicing non-medication lifestyle, especially if you are under 40.
share information about what you have discovered and what helped you - this forum is a perfect place for this, and make a world a better and healthier place...

I am a college student who completely agrees with you. I believe more people should be educated health and wellness issues. I don't believe our school systems give proper attention to the wellness aspect of health. your guys thoughts?

absolutely right, allseason
our medical industry so huge, its main purpose to sell us medication and medical services; secondary purpose - do not use non-medical treatment, because it doesn't "feed" the industry...
herbal treatment sometimes might not help, but for sure doesn't hurt us as medical one does all the time.

There is so much information out there and the more I learned the more I was gonna burst if I did not share it. I started a blog with a close friend of mine to relieve some of this pressure. I have switched to all organic foods, only grass fed live stock I try to buy as much food from farms that I can visit and meet the farmer while seeing what they practice. I believe alternative/holistic medicine is most effective as a preventative but have found some amazing options for replacing corrective orthodox medicine. We are brand new and looking for support for our blog I am not sure if I am allowed to mention it here so someone let me know if I am in violation. The blog is call "Leon's Thought for Food"
we need all the support we can get to get a good start becoming part of the movement for a healthier America. I share some personal experience with some great healing practices and post news and fun stuff.

I'm a new member and just switched my home over to all chemical free products. Their products have such muliple uses it has replaced me buying not just cleaners but things like nail polish remover. Can't believe their products! They have over 350 products to choose from - everything from all natural patented vitamins, supplements, cleaning products, make up, weight loss products, laundry soap... you name it they have it. Can't believe how much chemicals are in the leading brands in the stores and didn't know it before! If anyone is interested in learning more and switching their family for the positive healthy way in 2012 ask me for details!

I couldn't agree more
In response to your post about getting out of the medical traditions and looking into a more proactive alternative approach, has been my life's study and experience for over 23 years. In fact I have specialized in certain areas mainly in cleansing and the lymphatic system. I am extremely passionate about this subject and welcome any and all feedback from all on your thoughts about cleansing and the lymphatic system.

VitaminFix.Com
Alternative medicine is something I never had the chance to really get in to but as far as staying healthy goes I have maintained a vegetarian diet for the past ten years and supplement it with a few of my favorites. I've also been working with a health and wellness company which recently opened a new shop called Vitaminfix.com. We are currently running a new rewards program to celebrate our opening.
Here’s how it works:
You just recommend your favorite Vitaminfix.com supplement to a friend and earn Cash Back. For every friend that registers for an account at VitaminFix.com, you receive 250 Cash Back Points. When your friend registers they also receive 250 CashBack Points, and there's no purchase required! Points are converted to cash you can use at checkout or if you reach $50 they mail you a check. And...points never expire.
Once you are a registered user you receive a personalized invite link code. Post this link code on your blog, tweet, facebook, or emails and when someone clicks your link and registers you receive a credit to your account.
Stay healthy my friends.
