I guess they call it alternative medicine to differentiate it from the "medicine practice" we know today. healing using herbs (homeopathy) is very effective, but some people might argue that its not because healing takes a long time. The good news with this is that it helps the body get used with the "virus/bacteria" which infected you so it can create new antibodies against it.

I totally agree. If calling it "new age" is what it takes to help get "alternative" medicine more press and help it gain popularity than I'm all for it. I hope their marketing is successful!

Healing is a process...not an event. Just because the symptoms are gone does not necessarily mean that the body has healed.

I agree and the definition calling it "alternative" is ridiculous this term is defined by the institutes of orthodox medicine. I put a little tid bit at the beginning of my alternative medicine category of my new blog called "Leon's Thought for Food"

Alternative medicine is so popular nowadays because more and more natural remedies are being shown their effectiveness by clinical researches and studies.

I'd much rather use alternative medicine to pharmaceutical medicine if it could help me in the same way because I'm very wary about what they put in these medicines and the side effects can be atrocious, almost to the point where it's not really worth taking it as the negatives outweigh the benefits.

Default VitaminFix.Com

I'm so glad this is catching on! I've been somewhat of a health "nerd" for years and to see that its finally becoming normal makes me really happy. To keep myself in touch with like-minded folks I began working with a health and wellness company. They recently opened a new shop called Vitaminfix.com and are currently running a new rewards program to celebrate the opening.

Here’s how it works:
You just recommend your favorite Vitaminfix.com supplement to a friend and earn Cash Back. For every friend that registers for an account at VitaminFix.com, you receive 250 Cash Back Points. When your friend registers they also receive 250 CashBack Points, and there's no purchase required! Points are converted to cash you can use at checkout or if you reach $50 they mail you a check. And...points never expire.

Once you are a registered user you receive a personalized invite link code. Post this link code on your blog, tweet, facebook, or emails and when someone clicks your link and registers you receive a credit to your account.

Stay healthy my friends.

Smile Supplements

I have been purchasing supplements from various companies for many many years and there have been few that I found that really worked. I've realized through years of doing this that we need to be educated on reading lables. I have been fortunate enough to get further education by attending Natural schools and learned how to use herbs more efficiently and effectively. My research still continues. Right now I have a question about the use of microwaves. I personally don't believe in using microwaves but my husband thinks I've lost my marbles. Does anyone out there know of a website or blog that talks more in depth about microwave usage?
