Default Vitamin D and Autism

Has anyone ever heard of the theory linking Vitamin D deficiency in pregnancy to autism? There have actually been a lot written about this particular topic? What is interesting is that many women of autistic children are now starting to give their children cod liver oil to improve their symptons.

Has anyone had success with this? There's also another theory that Vitamin B12 deficiency and autism are linked?

My son was diagnosed as high functioning autistic and OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). He was placed in a hospital but I really felt that their program was not a good fit for him so I did some research online and learned that a vitamin B deficiency might be the problem. I bought Inositol (powdered vitamin B and started him on high doses (it's water soluble so he couldn't over dose) and within a week almost every symptom was gone! Not saying this works for everyone but I believe I read that it is the miracle drug for 8 out of 10 kids with OCD symptoms.
