Lightbulb Yoga Stretches?

Does anyone use yoga stretches for back pain? I feel like I have tried every single back stretch there is and nothing works for me! The only thing I find that works is lying down with a pillow under my lower back. I wish I knew of an effective stretch though.

When my back hurts I have found that some yoga stretches help my back. One that I really like to do (I don’t know the name so bear with me) is where I get on my knees. I sit back so that my bottom is on my heels. Then I reach out as far in front of me as possible and let my head fall to the floor and relax my neck. I stay there for about 30 seconds and it seems to release my back pain.

Yes, I know. However, my question is in reference to yoga stretches for back pain.

If anyone has instructions on a simple, yet effective yoga stretch solution to ease back pain, please provide, thanks.

PS- For those who want to do yoga but don't want to buy a DVD, Youtube is a great resource for free instructional videos.

oing yoga cultivates a balance between the flexibility and strength of the muscles of the body, often the real culprit in back pain. But there are many types of yoga, and if you have back pain you must be careful which to choose. Also, there are precautions you can take to ensure a safe and productive experience with yoga for back pain.

you can follow yoga Guide from here:- ww://backandneck.about.com/od/yogaforbackpain/bb/yogabackpain.htm

It seems like yoga is a holistic in that it helps the whole body at one time. So it seems like if you do a whole routine it would automatically help back pain. That said, it is amazing what a simple twisting move does to relieves stress around the spine.
