Default pain and numbness in hand after a botch iv attempt

12 days ago I went to an operation in which the nurse botch an iv drip attempt on the side of my wrist near thumb

My entire hand and finger become numb with constant electric shock. and painful

About 10 days later the numbness and constant electric shock when down.
Now it is almost non existance unless I sqeesh hard on my wrist.

Now pain is feel when I twist my wrist side ways (pain only when I streatch it quite a bit, no problem for slight strech). No problem when i move up and down.
Some pain when I press hard on my wrist.

The pain and shock travel all the way to the area that connect the hand with my index (finger after thumb) finger. Previously it was up to the entier finger.

May I know if I am showing signs of recovery, if so how many more days would I be almost pain free.

Hi k6996,

Certainly it is recovering. I hope you are going to be ok within 7 to 15 days. Unfortunately if it wouldn't you might need to talk with a doctor.

Best wishes
