Default Vaccinations and Immunizations

So many new vaccines have come up which provide immunity against a lot of diseases. It is important for the present day parents to take advantage of these, cause they really do work.Small pox and measles have almost been eradicated because of the immunization of infants.
Make list and keep a chart - this should part of a child's health record

Every child specialist doctor has a chart which points out which vaccination to give and in which age.It is important to follow it strictly so that children are not affected by known diseases. There are also special vaccination coming up to protect them from contracting newer type of diseases.Always ask your doctor to keep you updated

  • Measles
  • Flu
  • ROTAVirus
  • Smallpox

I think that it is not only advisable to have your infant to receive their vaccinations but those with college age students should have your childs immunization records reviewed prior to going to school with the increase in students from other countries that do not have the same requirements your child may be at risk or in need of a booster at this point in order to protect them from things that were not usually a problem in our country but we are now discovering that the effects of the immunity are weakened or wear off with time and since these kids coming in from other countries do not have the same immunities they are bringing with them things that we thought we were once protected from. I know that when I started college they required a booster for Measles, mumps and rubella due to this issue.

My son is fully vaccinated and received all of his shots on schedule. The vaccine debate can get heated at times, but my personal feeling is that the risk of exposing children to rubella, smallpox, and other diseases is greater than the potential risks of the shot itself.
