Default Bed Times

How much sleep should a toddler get per night? My child is normally ready to go to bed at 7 or 8, but sometimes I think that might be a little too early. What time do you put your toddler to bed?

Hi,i think that children should make asleep for 8 or 9 hours at night. This helps them to be fresh in the morning tasks such as loosing their a lot of energy in playing, making noise and so on.
As i make my child to go to bed at 10 to 7 and find him fresh.

I think toddlers should get 9-10 hours a sleep. They're bodies are growing really so they need to build up energy for the next day. My son is no longer a toddler. He's 11 years old but I make sure he's in bed by 8:30. If not, he's worn out and exhausted the next day.

My kids have always slept at least ten hours a night, and before the age of six, also took at least an hour nap during the day. One still takes a nap after school most days, even though I don't tell her to, and she's thirteen. Supposedly a growing child needs up to twelve hours per day, and of course they are growing all the way up to 17 or 18 years.

Hi,
My toddler is 18 months old and she sleep for at least 9 hours in the night and also, takes a two hour nap in the afternoon. Looking at the other posts, I wonder if she is sleeping too much and should I reduce her sleep. Till now, I put her to bed but she waakes up on her own, since I thought that I'll start waking her when she has to start preschool. Do you think it will be a good idea to reduce the amount she's sleeping or is that alright, since she is incredibly active and bright otherwise.
