Exclamation Dental Carries

I wanted to take a moment to talk about how to prevent dental carries in young children. As soon as they get their teeth in, it is important to keep them clean. Use a soft, wet washcloth at first, then you can advance to infant cleansing gel and the little finger brush. Eventually, as toddlers, you'll have to brush for them, using a non-flouride toothpaste. After age two, with the permission of their dentist, you can then use a bit of flouride toothpaste.

I believe you are talking about cavities?

I agree that proper dental care from child birth is essential. I was told that when they get their very first tooth they need to start seeing a pediatric dentist. I used a piece of gauze to begin with to wipe my daughters teeth, then went to the finger brush. Now she is two and the dentist told me to let her brush her teeth, and me go behind her. They also said that I need to start flossing her teeth, a few a day, so that way I can have all her teeth flossed at least once a week.
