I have 5 kids and god, they're rough! They play hard and cuddle hard, which means sooner or later one gets a head bump from the other. I give kisses, because I really don't want them to grow up to rely on pills and liquids for every little thing. Time heals far better than meds that just mask stuff.

Plus, like others of you have said- you learn through falls. A bit of pain is a warning! If it hurts, kids are far less likely to keep trying to be a flying trapeze artist from the furniture.

I bruise easily and my son does as well. I've always tried to stay calm when he would fall and get a minor scrape or cut, just so he wouldn't get scared. He can't stand the sight of blood though, and runs to get a Band-Aid right away.
