Default Fight A Cold with All-Natural Vitamins and Nutritional Supplements

Vitamin C
Vitamin C is an antioxidant, which neutralizes unstable free radicals and prevents them from damaging your DNA. This is the most frequent cause of virus infection and bacterial invasions, because your cells are unable to fight off the thousands of microorganisms that interact with your body everyday. A recent study published that the concentration of vitamin c in the body is diminished from stress and infection, so supplementing with this bright vitamin will ward off potential infections. A secondary study discovered that when supplementing with vitamin C in a group, there were elevated levels of serum that contribute to the strength of the immune system. In a group without vitamin C supplements, there was no change in their serum levels. Nature's Way Vitamin C 1000 with Rose Hips is a great supplement that includes rose hips, another source of vitamin C.

Probiotics
Surprisingly, Harvard studies are pointing immune defense in a new direction: your gut. Scientific evidence is proving that an abundance of good bacteria promotes immune health, because the health of your gut affects the production of protective T cells and reparative tissues. When your intestinal tract is flourishing with productivity, so are your chances of staying illness-free. Integrative Therapeutics Probiotic Pearls - Pro Flora Immune is a specially-formulated supplement that keeps the probiotics from being destroyed by stomach acid. NewChapter Probiotic All-Flora is a whole foods based supplement that is gluten and dairy free.

Zinc
Zinc is involved in over 300 of your body's growth and organ functions; DNA creation and wound healing are two of them. In addition, the regulation of your immune cells is directly influenced by the amount of zinc you can pull from. Even taking zinc while you are under the weather has shown to shorten the length of cold and flu symptoms. NOW Elderberry and Zinc is a daily supplement that will contribute to your health and wellness by pairing zinc with elderberry, a known natural supplement for the immune system.

Multivitamin
If you have not incorporated a multivitamin into your diet, preventing dozens of infections can be the first reason to start. Balance your diet with an abundance of strengthening vitamins and minerals, and you are assisting the hundreds of processes each organ, muscle, and cell produces to keep you healthy. Allergy Research Group EPD Basic MultiVitamin contains a powerful collection of your daily requirements for health and wellness.
