Default Yellow Teeth

Since I was a kid, I have had this problem.
Once I became aware of it a few years ago, I started brushing my teeth more often.
I'd try doing it after every meal, at times upto 4 times a day!
And yet, my teeth are yellow.
The 'cleaning' process is very expensive, are there any alternatives?
Do 'whitening strips actually work?

It's genetic, you may need to try to bleach your teeth. They are dentists who can do that.
Good luck

I also have the same problem. It can be due to improper brushing or genetic reasons like what Simo_Ohio had said.
If the cleaning process is expensive, the bleaching process is more expensive. Some dentists also suggest that you can also undergo laser cleaning. I saw that on TV one time.

It is possible that no amount of brushing and no bleaching techniques will be helpful if it is a genetic problem such as amelo-genesis imperfect. My husband’s family has this genetic disorder and to our dismay we know now that at least two of our three daughters to date suffer from it. My oldest has always inquired about all the products on the market hoping maybe there would be some easy fix but the only thing to help her is her teeth, all of them, need to be capped to protect them after her mouth is fully formed. In the meantime kids suffering with this and similar dental disorders are made fun of because it appears they do not brush their teeth or receive dental care when nothing is furthest from the truth.

I think cosmetic whitening is dangerous and if I were you, I'd stick to natural remedies. I did a quick search on what herbs might help and this is what I found:
(Hope these help! Be gentle with your teeth and try to avoid those harsh chemicals)

1. Babul (Acacia arabica)

The importance of babul in whitening of teeth cannot be expressed in words. It is so much important in Ayurveda for this purpose that the ancient Indians used nothing but the twigs of the babul (the other tree used for this is neem) as disposable toothbrushes. The tannin present in babul is effective in increasing the whiteness of teeth.

2. Banyan (Ficus religiosa)

The aerial roots of the banyan can also be used as disposable toothbrushes. The banyan roots have astringent properties, which not only make the teeth whiter, but also make the teeth and gums healthier.

3. Holy Basil (Ocimum sanctum)

The leaves of the holy basil are dried in the sun and powdered and used for brushing teeth. The leaves help in maintaining dental hygiene and make the teeth whiter. Apart from the whitening properties, holy basil is also used for protection from problems such as pyorrhea (i.e. bleeding of gums).

4. Margosa (Azadirachtha indica)

The neem tree, or the margosa, is a traditional remedy for having white healthy teeth. Neem twigs are used by several Indians even today as toothbrushes. Neem oils contain astringent and antiseptic properties to fight bad breath, kill microorganisms accumulated on the teeth and to combat dental caries and cavities.

That is a great list of natural alterantive. I never knew that there were so many for this type of problem. I agree that whitening and bleaching can be dangerous. My spouse once had a patient come through the ER that had an allergic reaction to the over the counter whitening strips. He said it was horrible looking and painful for the poor woman. She had blisters all over the inside of her mouth. I had once considered doing it but decided after that that there was no way.

If it were me I would consult my dentist, because as stated previously if it is genetic then your options are limited and all are going to be expensive.
