Default How to keep your teeth and gums healthy.

How to keep your teeth and gums healthy.

It's important to keep your teeth and gums healthy. Most problems with teeth and gums can be prevented. Here's how:
  • Brush your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste.
  • Floss between your teeth every day.
  • Visit a dentist regularly for checkups and cleaning.
  • Cut down on sugary foods and drinks.
  • Don’t smoke or chew tobacco.

Hmm.. the mustard oil and salt thing sounds interesting.. I may just try it out and see how it works.. Meanwhile, I think brushing after meals, regular flossing and periodic dental checkups are great for keeping teeth in good coniditon. I have bleeding gums and I know how important oral health is..

Thanks for the tips! I am obsessed about my teeth so I am always looking for ways to keep them healthy. Actually it's my gums that are always giving me trouble. My dental hygenist told me that when your gums start to bleed that you should brush them a little harder than normal (but not super hard...just enough to give them a good massage) and supposedly that will help them get stronger. I was just told that and it seems to be working. My poor gums are starting to heal.

Daily brushing your teeth and avoiding eating so much hot or cold food can help you in keeping your teeth and gums strong. I visited India and I saw that those people use a stick as a brush of "Neem" tree and there teeth are so much strong and white.

My dentist has some good tips on his website that may help, a lot of them pertain to children, but they are still helpful. Check them out at wildaboutsmiles4kids.com
