All of us should really be aware of diabetes, as we live in the age of obesity, high cholesterol and low activity level, which all lead to diabetes.
There are few ways of keeping sugar levels under control if you have diabetes. Depending on what your doctor suggests, you can use either oral medication (there are different meds for two types of diabetes), insulin injections or herbal supplements (if those will be enough). And the one maybe most important way of controlling sugars is a diet! Healthy foods, no sugar intake.
You can read more about diabetes at WebMD. They have lots of needed information. They even have such tool as Diabetes Health Checker. So, take some time to read more data on this health condition in order to prevent it or treat it.

Careful diet is the key to controlling diabetes! I have 3 family members with diabetes - I thankful don't have - and I have learned that the diet the patient follows is reflected directly to his condition. My grandmother has diabetes and if I don't pay attention to what she eats then we have a problem. One time she fainted because of her diet.

People with diabetes must take extra care to make sure that their diet is balanced with insulin and oral medications, and to exercise to help manage their blood glucose levels, says the American Diabetes Association. Sticking to a meal plan can help you improve your blood glucose, blood pressure and cholesterol numbers, and also help keep your weight on track.

Being aware of the food we eat can help us prevent from having diabetes. Controlling the blood sugar, adequate exercise, and proper healthy diet are important. Managing stress can also help in preventing diabetes. As a holistic nurse and a practitioner, I find the Yuen method as effective in managing stress and re-balancing the energy in our body system to avoid us having any manifestations. Controlling diabetes naturally
Diabetes is called the mother of all disease because it can lead to other health conditions. It is all a question of diet. Cut the sugar and high starch foods. Don't go hungry. Just substitute with high protein foods, preferably with low saturated fat content, and more vegetables. Management of diabetes is the only sensible way to handle this problem. Some health supplements may be of help too.
