Default Vaccinations before travelling ?

Do you get yourself vaccinated against malaria before you travel to South East Asia or the Indian sub-continent. Doctors no longer recommend that you do this, since the vaccinations have many side effects. Please make sure that it is really needed before you go in for any such preventive measures

I have never tried that before, but i was vaccinated already with anti-malaria and to be ready for anything if malaria strikes out again. It's a good thing that you have to be alert when traveling in other countries.

I always get the prescribed vaccinations done before I travel.
I remember a particular instance at the doctors office when I was waiting to get the shot against yellow fever cause I was traveling to South Africa.
The doctor almost gave me something else because his new assistant got nervous!
Hahaha!

It is good to check the recent medical news on the country, we are going to visit.
Like traveling to Mexico now, would definitely require to get swine flu related information and ways of protecting from it.

Always consult your family doctor before travelling to unknown places as if what it has to offer to you. These places may be virus affected and hence may cause disease to you that you may also transmit in your own area.So always take a prescibed medicine from your doctor. Also take notation of the geography of your vising place.I always keep myself alert to be free from these diseases.

Yes, we need to get checked up before we go to long destinations.
I think that is because when we go to a new place, the surroundings are different, the environment t is different, the climate changes and it definitely takes time to adjust and adapt to the new environment.

My friend has been living in Kenya for over one year now and she has had malaria outbreaks three times. She would have the vaccination if she could do it over again. Every time it comes back, she thinks that it is the end for her!
