Epilepsy is a condition of the nervous system. It is a common chronic neurological disorder. Seizures are a common symptoms of epilepsy. Statistic shows that about 50 million people worldwide have epilepsy and more than 180,000 people are diagnosed with epilepsy every year. Epilepsy is more likely to occur in young children, or people over the age of 65 years; however, it can occur at any time.
Most people with epilepsy lead outwardly normal lives. It can be controlled but epilepsy cannot currently be cured, for some people it does eventually go away. Most seizures do not cause brain damage.
But the worse thing is that it can easily lead to limited mobility.
