Default Whhy is it that when our eyes are not functioning well, we used eyeglasses?

Eyeglasses are the supplementary for our sight if our eyes or our vision are damaged. But if you're wearing eyeglasses and you are exposed to radiation, can it stiil damaged our eyes?

The major use of eyeglasses is for correcting eye vision.
If the radiation you are talking about is coming from the tv or computer, that radiation can only affect our eyes if you are very near and doesn't keep a good distance away from the tv. And a good thing to protect our eyes when watching or using the computer is to:
  • Keep a good distance away from the TV or computer like I have always said
  • Turn on the light if your TV system is so bright or at least lower the brightness and contrast setting of your TV to compliment your vision.
Hope that helps.

That's true.
If your desk is designed awkwardly, and you have to sit up against the screen in order to reach your keyboard, another thing you can do is to put an anti radiation cover.
These are available in the market, and are exclusively for desktops (as far as I know).
We used them in the office for a while, and they worked beautifully.

And, as I have said before, always put a light on where you are working. Light from a TV or monitor is not sufficient enough to read a paper document or to write on a paper.

I may just add up a couple of things:
  • Don't read when lay on your back and on a moving vehicle it can surely damage/strain your eyes.
  • Don't read on a dim place. Go to place with sufficient light. Be sure that the light is coming from the side for better view.
  • Don't wash your eyes if they are tired. Give them a rest a bit to prevent astigmatism.
