Well my question would be what IS Fibromyalgia? It seems to be getting a lot of exposure these days. I hear this word buzzed about so much lately as "it's a real pain" by SO many people on the internet. Truth is, I've never even heard about it until the 'net. I have no idea what it is. I mean symptoms are one thing, but really, what is it?

Also, why the "It's a real pain" slogan, when there are thousands of conditions that are also a real pain? I'm confused.

One theory gaining ground is that it's some sort of autoimmune condition that's at least a little bit like rheumatoid arthritis. Of course, you also still have leading rheumatologists (and I mean *leading*) saying it's basically poor stress management.

Fibromyalgia is the most common arthritis-related illness after osteoarthritis. Still, it is often misdiagnosed and misunderstood. Fibromyalgia is a rheumatic condition. Its characteristics include widespread muscle and joint pain and fatigue as well as other symptoms. It can lead to depression and social isolation.

What are fibromyalgia symptoms?

Fibromyalgia causes you to ache all over. You may have symptoms of crippling fatigue -- even on arising. Specific trigger points or tender points on the body may be painful to touch. You may experience swelling, disturbances in deep-level or restful sleep, and mood disturbances or depression.

Your muscles may feel like they have been overworked or pulled. They'll feel that way even without exercise or another cause. Sometimes, your muscles twitch, burn, or have deep stabbing pain.

Some patients with FMS have pain and achiness around the joints in the neck, shoulder, back, and hips. This makes it difficult for them to sleep or exercise. Other fibromyalgia symptoms include:

* abdominal pain
* anxiety and depression
* chronic headaches
* difficulty maintaining sleep or light sleep
* dryness in mouth, nose, and eyes
* fatigue upon arising
* hypersensitivity to cold and/or heat
* inability to concentrate (called "fibro fog")
* incontinence
* irritable bowel syndrome
* numbness or tingling in the fingers and feet
* painful menstrual cramps
* poor circulation in hands and feet (called Raynaud's phenomenon)
* restless legs syndrome
* stiffness

Fibromyalgia can cause signs and feelings similar to osteoarthritis, bursitis, and tendinitis. Some experts include it in this group of arthritis and related disorders. But the pain of bursitis or tendinitis is localized to a specific area. The feelings of pain and stiffness with fibromyalgia are widespread.

I unfortunately have so many friends who have been diagnosed with Fibro. It seems to cause a host of problems as referenced above. They actually thought I may have had it but I ended up being diagnosed with MS instead, some symptoms actually mirror each other. A Rheumotologist is the best doctor to diagnose either Fibro or MS.

Yes rheumatologist are best for the same..If i am right A rheumatologist is an internist or pediatrician who is qualified by additional training and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis and other diseases of the joints, muscles and bones. Many rheumatologists conduct research to determine the cause and better treatments for these disabling and sometimes fatal diseases....

I know some people personally that are getting great results, even off the pain meds that they had been taking. They all have been using a Nopal cactus based product, Nopalea.
Has anyone tried it or posted their experiences with it?
If I can help let me know.

Ken

Default Fibromyalgia

From what I understand, Fibromyalgia is partly a stress-induced condition that can be very painful and debilitating for some people - depending on the severity of it. I also know that science has linked toxicity to many health challenges including Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Arthritis, Diabetes, Heart Disease..and many more!

For some people the pain is soo incredibly strong that they need to take meds - it is a very "real pain" as in it's not in someone's head...they feel it!

In my coaching people through cleansing, there have been people who had symptoms of Fibromyalgia and cleansing as helped them. I am not saying it will help everyone, and I am not saying that we proclaim to cure any illness or health condition, but perhaps looking more into cleansing the body of toxins and impurities may help in more ways than one. It's always best to work with your physician if you have a medical condition and see what approaches will work.

If anyone wants more information, I would be happy to provide some insight. Just private message me and we'll connect.
