Do you support a government-run health insurance program (the so-called "public option") in the health-care reform bill that the democrats are trying to push for or are you opposed to it?
If so, why?

I don't know if "absolutely" on all that comes with this plan is the answer to the dilemma, but I’m supportive of an option for those without current options. I feel the health system is hurt by people using an emergency room for regular care for health problems. While some certainly could be more pro-active in pursuing something as important as healthcare on their own, there is a number of people that have no recourse. The ones without an affordable avenue to health care need something.

I think that all states should have high-risk pools for those who cannot get individual health insurance on their own. I know that in Missouri, we have a high-risk pool called the Missouri Health Insurance Pool. It's very expensive, but it's better than nothing. Limited health insurance is better than no insurance.
