Universal Healthcare anyone???
For those living in the United States, do you support a Universal Healthcare system for anyone?
The Obama administration is currently pushing for health care reform that would guarantee health care access to everyone.

I don't think the government should be in charge of anymore than they already are. They can't even take care of the country without UH. Just an idea

I'm so psyched about this. So many people cannot afford insurance and are denied by Medicaid and the state health insurance. Finally, everyone can get the care we ALL deserve. Healthcare is not only for the rich or fortunate or lucky. We all deserve it and I personally hope this passes.

Seriously? the healthcare we all deserve? Have you talked to people in other countries with Universal Healthcare? I know a lot of families who have experience with this. They have kids who need medicines that they have to lobby the Canadian gov't for. They have kids who need surgries that they have to wait months for.
I know one family, that had no insurance at that time, who moved back from a Universal Healthcare country to the US because, since their children have degenerative, incurrable illnesses, the other country was not willing to get these kids the things they needed to make their lives longer and better.
If people have the option of UH, employers will not have any reason to offer expensive private insurance anymore... which will further flood the system.
Obviously this is just a part of the larger argument, but UH is not what we need. Maybe insurance premium assistance or laws to cut the profit margins of drug/medical companies... but not this.

I am not a fan of universal healthcare. The government has proven time and time again that it bites off more than it can chew, and I am not willing to risk my healthcare with them. By the way, I have had healthcare thru my employer, and I have also had no health care at all. So I think my opinion is somewhat educated.

Yes, seriously. We all deserve healthcare. Not just US Citizens, but everyone across the globe deserves healthcare. Children, adults, homeless, privileged, under-privileged, everyone. So many children and families go without healthcare annually and I believe they are entitled to healthcare too. No one should be left out.

Please note that I did not say we do not deserve healthcare. I said that the healthcare we will get, if it is provided in this fashion, will be pitiful. When you call it "the healthcare we all deserve" you are selling us short.
