Default Advice on Buying your Own Private Insurance

I am thinking of buying my own private insurance since I work full-time as a freelance writer. I make a great salary, but I am employed officially by an employer nor do I get insurance through a parent or a spouse.

Does anyone have any advice for me on buying my own private insurance? Is there anything in particular that I should watch out for? Did you buy your own private insurance? Do you feel as if you made the right decision, and how did you know that your insurance plan was the best for you?

If you are healthy and have no preexisting conditions, you should have no problem. I only had one private policy in my lifetime and did not like the approval process. They made me answer a lot of questions and sent a rep out to do a urine test on me and ask a million and one other questions. I got the policy but did not like feeling like a criminal in the process. This of course was a couple of years ago, things may have lightened up a little bit.

I know now, my husband and I can not qualify for private health insurance because we are both overweight. I guess that is understandable because being overweight does have its risks.

you can take a insurance under self employed health insurance schemes
there are a deduction on the medical expenses is one added advantage a self-employed policy holder can enjoy.
The self employed health insurance is not always equivalent in benefits and coverage to those that are for a corporation. Finding a self-employed health insurance plan that is just the best for you maybe time consuming or daunting initially, but when you are done through the process you surely will be more contended and will be considering that the time you spent was fruitful rather than a waste.
