I was wondering if anyone knows of a dental insurance, specifically --with orthodontic coverage that I can buy as a supplement to my other coverage?

Here's why I want to know: my husband's work insurance will cover up to $1200 worth of orthodontics per person. The orthodontics bill will be $2550 after coverage, and we have two children that will need braces. So that will cost us around $5100-- which we don't have right now since we are already scrimping just to pay the normal bills. I know another bill, such as a supplemental orthodontic coverage will be a hardship, it might be better than a loan for $5100. If I can find such a thing, I would have to do the math to see if it's worth it!

    

After a lot of searching, I did find some insurance, but orthopedics coverage didn’t start until after 12 months coverage and the amount covered wasn’t even worth the cost of insurance. I did find what was called dental discount plans, which might be worth looking into.
