Default Ear Infection Advice

I get ear infections pretty frequently. Because I've had them so many times, I have learned some great ways to beat them. I will share them with you:

1. If you are prone to ear infections like me, try to not let water get in your ear. Drain your ear after washing your hair or showering.

2. If water does get in your ear, use a fan to dry it.

3. No matter what, do not insert anything into your ear--no cotton balls, fingers, or cotton swabs because doing this will only make it worse. If you feel as if you are getting an ear infection, it is extremely important to ensure that nothing goes into your ear since that will only introduce more bacteria to the area and inflame the area even more.

4. If you do get an ear infection, ask your doctor if they would consider using Bausch and Lomb ear drops. The ear drops are cheap and work extremely well. You can only get with a prescription, and they are a lifesaver.

I hope this information was helpful.

Pardon my ignorance but I thought only children were getting ear infections???
I haven't had any ear infection as an adult but my children do get them once in a while.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. But for some reason, I still get them. I have one about every year. Luckily, I've been following this advice and I haven't gotten one all year! They are extremely painful. I guess that maybe my Eustacian tube never matured, and that's why I'm prone to them.
