Default cholesterol-lowering medication

Lipitor is used to treat high cholesterol. Lipitor is also used to lower the risk of stroke, heart attack, or other heart complications in people with type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, or other risk factors. Lipitor (atorvastatin) is in a group of drugs called HMG CoA reductase inhibitors, or statins. Atorvastatin reduces levels of "bad" cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood, while increasing levels of "good" cholesterol.

Default Side effects of Statins

These life saving medical advances are essential and millions have benefited from them. However, they can cause more than just a drop in your cholesterol. They can have nasty side effects as allergic reaction (itching, skin rashes),diarrhoea, dizzines, headache, indigestion, nausea, vomiting... They can also cause kidney failure.
