Default Using Hand Sanitizers for Toddlers

Hi everyone,
With the recent flu scare, hand sanitizers are being used like crazy.. And I was just wondering if it is alright to use hand sanitizers for toddlers?? Does anyone know of any side effects?? There are times when it just isn't possible to wash hands with soap adn water, making hand sanitizers essential, so would love to know if there are any possible side effects to this??
Thanks

I think it's okay as long as toddlers don't ingest the stuff. 2 teaspoons is more than enought to poison a 20 lb toddler.
I would probably use the hand sanitizer wipes just to be safe. We all know how kids are. They are so fast sometimes and if you turn your back for one second, they somehow magically get into something. If you do use hand sanitizer, keep it up on a shelve so that your baby can't get to it.

It can be very dangerous to use sanitizer with toddlers and younger. If they lick their hands after there alcohol level can reach the critical level. It's best to find an alternative. I would make your own wipes with a mild antibacterial soap solution.
