I wonder if anyone knows what cause the polycistic kidney disease. I learned in few websites that is a hereditary disorder that causes fluid filled cysts to form in the nephrons of the kidneys. I heard from my dad's doctors that these cysts can grow so large and so numerous that they crowd out the normal kidney tissue but nothing much. Here is what I need to know:

• What are the risk factors of Polycystic Kidney Disease?
• What standard and alternative treatment options are available?
• Where are the leading doctors, hospitals and medical centers that specialize in Polycystic Kidney Disease research and treatment?
• What are the results of the latest clinical trials?
• Where are the support groups and additional resources in my area?
• What are the promising new treatments on the horizon?

Actually i had these PVO , this is what they called it. My doctor told me that it can be hereditary or it can also develop if you take pills or any drug. So it is depend on your body reactions.
