There are many factors in being healthy. To use myself as an example. I work in construction and am walking many miles every day, some more than others, but we'll say at least one a day. I don't consider myself healthy just because of this. The work that I do is very hard on the body (overhead jobs i.e. jackhammering) this causes some muscles to be tensed for extended periods of time while their antagonistic muscles are somewhat relaxed. This has caused a few issues over the years, most recently impingement in my shoulder. I have had many healthcare professionals treat me. And none could seem to give me any lasting comfort. Eventually I found an amazing chiropractor, more later. I don't eat too poorly, get regular exercise, erratic sleep habits, and get a decent amount of relaxation into my day, though mostly on the couch in front of the TV. I didn't feel near my potential of being a now 24 year old who has always been athletic. Until I found what it was that worked for me.
To sum up, this chiropractor is able to fix any problem I have from a recently sprained finger to a 12 year old muscle strain. using techniques like Active Release Therapy, Graston (very painful in some spots, but highly effective), and a list of stretching and exercises to do at home. That last one is the key, if you are able to wake up 15 minutes earlier in the morning, and head to bed 15 minutes early to do some stretching, you might be amazed with how well you will start feeling.
Now this has worked for me but all of our bodies are different. Having tried many techniques I would say try anything someone throws at you at least once, then pick and choose whatever makes you feel good.
sorry for rambling, hope it makes sense to a few of you.
