How would you / do punish your children. If i was a parent i would just send them to there rom and tell them they are grounded untill they think about what they have done.

    

Although grounding may work when they are young, when they get to be a teenager unless you raised them nearly perfectly your going to have a LOT of trouble with them. I was spanked when I was a child and that kept me out of trouble most the time because if they caught me I knew I would regret it, although that mainly just helped me learn how to not be caught and lie like a pro.
So, spanking is probably not best.

I agree. Spanking is just wrong. But i would just take their beloved stuff away from them if they misbehave.

You should only give just punishments on your child. Grounding him/her may help but talking to him/her in personal will give him/her a good impression that you are a good parent and you understands him/her. But be careful, your children might always do this.

But all punishments have different results so choose the best way for your child. Spanking is not really the only option. This option can only lead for your child telling lies always.

Yea. Like i said somewhere i would just tell him / her to go to there room and tell them that they are grounded and they cant do anything untill they have said sorry and have thought about what they have done.

In my own opinion, grounding a child can only lead him being rebellious or can lead to massive lies. I have seen this scenario on tv dramas. I know it isn't right to compare tv dramas to our lives but I can say we can be on the same side of the road.

TV Dramas may not be the best, but every bit of fiction has an ounce of truth to it. :P And it does happen. You just have to raise your child right if you want it to stay out of trouble. Let them learn from their mistakes.
