

Parkinson's disease (also known as paralysis agitans) is a disorder of central nervous system(brain) that basically leads to shaking (tremors) and difficulty with walking, movement, and coordination. Generally it develops after age 50. It is one of the most common nervous system disorders of the elderly people. Sometimes Parkinson's disease occurs in younger adults also. It affects both men and women equally.It can also occur in families. A young person is affected by it mainly because of his family.
Some major symptoms of Parkinson's disease are listed bellow:
- Difficulty swallowing
- Drooling
- Impaired balance and walking
- Lack of expression in the face (mask-like appearance)
- Muscle aches and pains
- Movement problems
