Default What do you feed your dog?

My dog has a very sensitive stomach--the doctor checked her out a while back and said she was fine and has no problems that would cause it. Of course, I then get told the best food for her to eat is the one that you can only get in a vets office. It was a prescription Science Diet food. I do have to say that it worked great but was expensive.

We tried to find a food that was comparable with it but every food she tries, she's gotta go to the bathroom several times a day. It is crazy. I know many cheap dog foods put a lot of fillers in them so we would opt for the more expensive--but not as expensive as the vets food. All worked the same. I even said heck with it and started making her my own version of dog food but I read that homemade dog food lacks nutrients that commercial dog food has. Huh?. So I stopped.

I don't want to keep switching her so it makes her stomach even more sensitive, but I can't stand taking her out so many times a day to "go". And believe me, she goes potty every time we go outside. I just can't understand why a really good dog food like that is only available at the vets office and for so much?

Anyone have any suggestions for a dog with sensitive stomachs that doesn't require a trip to the vet and wont break the bank?

If they said that those Home-made dog food doesn't have enough nutrients then provide vitamins for your dog to complete the lack of everyday nutrition needs of your dog. It is better for our dog to have a food that fits their tummy!

Avoid feeding your dog table scraps'it encourages begging and may not be good for her digestive system. If you must give her 'people food,' put the scraps in her dog bowl after the family has finished the meal. Be careful to avoid giving her onions or chocolate.

We feed our english mastiff organic mostly meat derived dog foods, and raw grass fed organic no hormone no antibiotic beef. expensive but worth my precious baby's health. And it is extra expensive cuz he is 180 lbs lol.
I'm gonna address this on my blog called "Leon's Thought for Food" very soon
