Are There Herbal Acne Medications?
There are several different herbal remedies for acne, and some of them date back a long time ago to ancient Chinese civilization. We look for the less harsh alternatives to modern medications that often are accompanied with horrible side effects, and humans have been using these holistic cures for centuries.
You can use black currant seed oil or evening primrose oil, which both can be found in pill form at a health store. Take 500 mg 3 times a day until you see some improvement. Some other natural treatment options could be Echinacea, goldenseal, calendula, and tea tree oil. You also may drink green tea or herbal teas, with nettles, lavender, and/or chamomile in them. The Chinese people believe that honey suckle flower and cnidium seed can help to clear up acne outbreaks. Even though it is uncommon, some infants get forms of acne, but you should never give a baby anything before conferring with a licensed medical practitioner.
People with acne should be consuming foods with higher levels of beta carotene, like cantaloupe, carrots, pumpkin, and other orang-ish yellow vegetables and fruits. The thing is, most doctors don’t believe that your diet has as much to do with your acne breakouts as you may think. So just eat healthy, and give the herbal naturalistic methods a try.
