Default Obesity

All sorts of news articles, and world health reports show that Obesity is prevalent in our 'younger society'.
I know that a number of my friends start dieting, or working out when they feel that they are putting on weight.
DO you do anything?
Or do you at least watch your children's weight?

Yes i have had many problems such as this.I am 19 years old having 5 11" height and 85 kg weight.I think that i am a little bit overweight and feel to reduce my weight.I have decreased my weight to about 15 kgs by last 6 months by dieting as my weight was about 98kg.I would like to have regular work-outs to shape my body now that will keep me fit and healthy.

Teenagers are supposed to be most active and jubilant among all the age groups.
The problem lies the way they use their energy. They are not much active and eat junk food, then put on weight.
Simple things like talking a brisk walk, reducing junk food intake, doing simple breathing exercise helps a lot.

Your exactly right. Teenagers are suppose to be very active which will get rid of all the food they eat. But, now-a-days teenagers are not being active, which is causing obesity.

My oldest daughter at 12 has actually remained quite active with the exception being in part of the winter and when it is extremely hot in the summer. While she enjoys TV and video games, she participates regularly eats healthy (I can't even count the number of meals/snacks a day) and is in shape.

Unfortunately my husband remarked once how he thought she was putting weight on, but as a developing young girl I couldn't see where anything was cause of great concern because she is not fat at all. I've mentioned to him that even if he thought she had a problem he had to be careful how he shared his concern.

Many young women become weight obsessive and starve themselves thus ruining their metabolism. As long as they are eating right and we aren't measuring what they eat I think they are fine if they get enough exercise. I also never encourage them to finish all their food, if they are full, they are done eating.

I was a bit chubby as a teen, and both of my parents made comments about my weight. Those remarks affected me into adulthood, even though I wasn't obese by any means.

I do notice a growing number of children and teens who are significantly overweight. I think the fact that junk food is so readily available doesn't help matters.

My oldest daughter is thirteen and she is fairly active. She is on her pom squad at school. Every few months she will grow a tiny belly and I know a growth spurt is on the way. Obesity runs in my family so I try to keep us active without giving them a complex about it.

Hello Friends.......

Exercises: Brisk walk is necessary for obesity patients along with light running or jogging. Even swimming is also helpful in reducing the weight. The regular practice of Hipbath along with the Mudpack, lemon water enema and Steam bath once or twice a week seem to be especially effective in reducing weight.

Treatment of Obesity by Yogic Asanas: Shudhhikriyas: Kunjala, Vaman Dhauti/Danda Dhauti, Neti, Agnisara Kriya, Laghoo/Purna Shankhaprakshalana (Once a week / month), Kapalbhati and Baghi Kriya should also be practised. Even Shankha Prakshalana should be practised once a month for first three months.

Pranayama: Anuloma Viloma, Bhastrika Pranayama, Ujjayi, Suryabhedan (10 times or more rounds) along with Om Recitation about 10 times should be practised.

Thanks
