If she starts to become obsessive about her weight, keep an eye on her. We all worry about our weight and that's perfectly normal but if she starts to talk about her weight ALL the time and that's all she talks about then you should start to worry.
A few signs:
Losing weight really fast
Obsessive about her weight, weighs herself all the time, complaining about her body even though she's at a normal weight, freaks out over minor weight gain
Talks about food all the time but eats very little. Wants to cook for you, collects recipes, etc.
Odd food rituals such as not wanting to eat in public or around anyone, cutting food up into tiny pieces and then just moves it around on the plate. Chews food then spits it out.
Makes excuses to get out of meals such as saying " I just ate" or " I have a tummyache" or " I feel sick so I can't eat right now."
Obsessed with calories
Uses diet pills, laxatives (a very common one)
Compulsive exercising to burn all the calories she ate
forces self to vomit after eating- to get rid of the calories. May run water while in bathroom to cover the sound of vomiting.
Her periods may stop
has no energy and is tired all the time
She's Cold all the time
Fine hair starts to grow all over her body (a reaction to try to keep her body warm)
She feels dizzy, gets constant headaches, may feel faint
Dry yellowish skin
