Do You have Bladder Problems?? I might have a solution...
I just had to share this story with you all. Please read all the way through because this could be the cause of your problems and there is a way to get rid of your bladder problems without spending a dime.
About 2 years ago, I starting having bladder problems. It started off slow. I'd have to get up to go to the bathroom twice a night. As the months went by, it started to get worse.
The past year was a nightmare. I was getting up to go to the bathroom 6-15 times a night (I counted). During the day was just as bad. I couldn't even go to the movies because I'd have to get up multiple times to rush to the bathroom. There were a few times when I'd wake up in the middle of the night and catch myself almost having an accident. Luckily, I was able to make it to the bathroom on time.
I was a zombie during the day. I had to take 2-3 hr naps a day. My husband finally convinced me to see a doctor. The doctor took tons of tests but found nothing abnormal except for a thyroid imbalance which he said couldn't be the cause of my bladder problems. I started medication and he was right. A lot of my problems were fixed (memory problems, skin problems, etc) but the bladder problems was still there. I went back to him and he took more tests and then sent me to a lab to get an ultrasound done. Everything came out okay. Then I was sent to an Urologist and they did nothing to help me. They just asked me if I drank caffeinated drinks. I only drink 1-2 cups a tea early in the morning. I know that wasn't causing my problems because there were times when I didn't have tea for weeks but I still had the bladder problems.
I was prescribed Drexol but I didn't feel right taking it (and the price was ridiculous...$78 a bottle). I had already spent $200 trying to find out what was causing the bladder problems. We have insurance but I had a $20 co pay and there were several tests our insurance wouldn't pay for. The urologist sent us a $80 bill so I had spent $280 on doctors and nobody could figure out what my problem was. The urologist didn't even test me...she just guessed that it was overactive bladder (I could've told her that). What I wanted to know is what was causing it.
Later that week, I decided to do my own research and I found out that Splenda causes bladder problems. As I dug further, I found out there were forums devoted to people who used to use Splenda and had been suffering from the same problems I had.
Guess what I've been using for the past 2 years? Splenda. We started using it 2 years ago (my husband and son were also starting to experience bladder problems). I am a creature of habit and have had oats for breakfast almost every single day for the past 2 years. I put Splenda in my oats.
I quit Splenda that same day. 2 weeks later, I was only getting up to go to the bathroom 3 times a night. It's been over a month and I no longer have to get up to go to the bathroom at night. I only go 2 times during the day! The same goes for my husband and son. They no longer have to constantly go to the bathroom.
It was the Splenda that was causing our bladder problems.
If you look online, you'll see the studies that have been done. Studies show that Splenda caused enlarge kidney and livers in mice! It's also known to irritate the bladder.
Beware of Splenda. That stuff is bad for you.
Do any of you use Splenda? Have you been having any problems?
Here's a list of my problems that were caused by Splenda
-overactive bladder
-headaches
-nausea
-dizziness
- dehydration (from constant peeing. the dehydration caused the headaches)
