Default Losing Weight

Greetings,
I am overweight, as in very overweight, and for my age it is very dangerous.
I am 18 years old and over 400 pounds, I don't eat all that much other than at supper where I will admit I eat to much. I sometimes have breakfast but not always, I also have a small lunch and maybe a small snack around 3 because I have an early lunch.

I don't eat a lot of junkfood, but I also don't drink much water, maybe 3 glasses a day although some days I will drink about 6 glasses. (8 oz. Glasses)
I drink a good amount of Mountain Dew, 2 litter a day and I walk an average of 2 - 3 miles a day from everyday activities.

Does anyone have any information about how much water I should drink a day, or how much I should exercise every day.

Thanks!
Sincerely,
-Marcus

Well I think that you should eat normally but dont over eat your self. Have health food like Salad's and what not. Keep drinking water and also do regular exercise, Maby do some daily jogging or something maby like 2miles or so. do it daily and you should start to lose weight

Well I have a Pedometer which I use all day and it suggest walking for up to 13,000 steps a day to lose weight. That seems like an awful lot. I also read that I should drink 32 8-ounce glasses of water everyday. All that is a lot of work for me to do. It is so hard to find time to go for a walk and I hate the taste of water and bottled water is worse. The only thing I like is cold spring water but no way can I get any of that... I just wish there was an easier way.

Supper is the meal where you burn the least fat, while breakfast is the one where you burn the most. Try to change that part of your diet.

This is the answer to all your overweight problems:

CARDIO!

You gotta run, make a warm-up of about fifteen minutes covering all the stretchings you can imagine. After that I would suggest running 1 1/2 miles and then make small sprints, 100 meters you run at top speed, 200 meters you walk. Repeat this running and walking process for a mile.

After that make a cool-down and if you still feel you're up to it go and swim some laps on a pool.

This is a mid-explosive cardio workout, you must feed yourself with protein and carbs before and after you do the routine. If you feel it's too much for you reduce the workout by half.

Also drink at least 2 L of water. Helps remove waste.

Thanks for the tips. Running can be a bit hard for me, but is probably the best thing for me. More calories burnt that way. :P
I need to get myself a good exercise plan, does anyone have any good sites about this stuff?

There are a few simple steps you can follow in order to keep your weight in check.
Use the stairs more often.
Have bigger breakfasts, and smaller dinners.
Replace Mountain Dew with water.
Eat more fruit.
Eat brown bread in stead of white.
Go for a walk.
Eat at home, don't order in, don't eat out.

This should get you started.
It worked for me!

I also had a similar problem few months back.I lost 16 kgs in 1.5 months.I preferred to cut my meals and breakfast and carried exercise as per my routine. It was very tough for me and it was only possible as I had a good storage of energy in my body during those days.I would not encourage crash dieting but would ask for daily exercise routine.Start slowly and then increase. This will surely help.

This depends on how dedicated you can be. This is different with everyone, and you never want to commit to too much at first. That is how you lose motivation and focus.
  • I would start by cutting back on the soda, because large amounts of simple carbs, like sugars, is devastating to your fitness.
  • Water is very important. Go out and buy a durable water jug with a pop off top, and carry it with you everywhere possible. Everytime you think about it, take a big gulp or 2. Get used to peeing a lot
  • Try some short workout routines. Focus on compound exercises only. And don't forget cardio, it's very important.
  • Either weight train or cardio every day, even if its for 20-30 minutes. If your feeling sluggish, then do something that's easy, but DON'T SKIP.
