Default Whey Protein for weight loss

Does anyone know of or have had any experience with whey protein for weight loss? I would like to try this since I am just returning to the gym and trying to lose weight. I do not eat any protein in the mornings so I was told that this was good to supplement the protein that I am missing. Is that correct?

I am on a mostly plant based diet, and sometimes I use Whey Protein. I simply put a scoop in a smoothie and blend them up. I make enough for the week so I can grab it on the go. I have also heard some people slip some in with there cooking for the extra protein.

Whey protein is very good for you, especially if you will be exercising. Protein helps to build muscle, and you will burn fat through exercise and an increased metabolism. The idea of putting whey protein into a breakfast smoothie is great!

Protein is very good for you, and I would recommend making sure to get enough protein while you lose weight, so that your body can build muscle. When you do certain exercises, especially those that are weight-bearing, your body builds muscle.

However, don't go overboard with protein since excess protein usually turns into fat, which you probably do not want.

Protein is important for muscle gains. Your body will burn more calories on its own if you have more muscle mass. So yes, indirectly, protein does help with weight loss.
Don't eat a lot of protein and expect to get skinny by lifting weights though. You still need to watch your net caloric intake and after doing some kind of cardio, you should be in a calorie deficit on average. Without that, the extra protein may be too many calories and will have adverse effects in losing weight.

I'm trying to keep myself in healthy lifestyle for almost one year. I run 3 times a week, do some exercises. I eat what i want and when i want, only one thing i watch for overeating which is not good for metabolism. I've never deprived myself. I made just one single change in my lifestyle, i start to take a healthy breakfast. Every morning i make a Herbalife milkshake (formula 1) with some fruits. I never skip my breakfast, actually i can't wait till i get my milkshake tomorrow. Herbalife milkshake is low fat, all vitamins and high protein content. I feel full from 7 am till 12, 1 pm. This is it. Herbalife helps me a lot. I love it. Also i drink my milkshake after each workout to help recover my muscles. You need just try some high quality, science-based Herbalife products. Good luck.
