Acai Berry Scam?
I keep clicking on links online about the one thing you need to know to get a flat belly or losing weight and it keeps being for Acai Berry diet, which is kinda irritating why not be upfront about it, and then I decided why not try the free trial and they were so pushy about wanting my credit card that it made me back off, I hate websites that make me feel pressure, I’ve already spent a lot of cash on diets, want to know if this is worth it, does it help you lose weight?
Or is it totally bogus? If you google reviews, they mostly come up as scam warnings.
Anyone out there know?
I read about another product that says it’s a meal replacement/cleanse, Nulean, anyone try that??

There's nothing magical about acai. It's high in antioxidants but, then again, so are most berries. I've researched it extensively and can't find any proof it makes anything lighter . . . except maybe your wallet. Hope that helps.

Antioxidants are crucial to your body working right and help to remove toxins and free radicals from your system and get everything in working order. Like oatmeal they grab onto bad things and whisk them out of your body so your body can use its time better to absorb relevant nutrients. The Acai berry is the healthiest berry for you since the darker the berry the better the antioxidant however the berry alone is not going to give you the healthiest body. A combination of a proper diet and exercise will but antioxidants are a key component to weight loss.
Usually the healthiest berries in the US are blueberries since they are our darkest berries. Add them to your diet or find Acai juice locally to give it a try. If you can’t find Acai juice in your supermarket perhaps a reputable health food store will carry it or carry a supplement from a company that has been in business a while so you can avoid a web scam.

BUT. . . many studies on the antioxidants in acai berry have been on the raw, fresh berries. Unfortunately, the only acai products available in the U.S. are processed. How much of the alleged health benefits really survive the manufacturing process? And even if they do survive, is it really worth the extra expense when we have so many fresh fruits available year round already?
Not saying you're wrong, just that the issue is more complicated than it's often portrayed.

I totally agree, look for the sources available or find trusted sources to work with rather than purchase supplements on the net. In addition to mentioning that we have blueberries available here and recommending they be added to a healthy diet, there are a whole slew of fruits, vegetables and legumes that are packed with antioxidants as well. Same rule applies, the darker red the item, the more antioxidants.
I'm just saying if anyone really wants to try Acai that a trip to the health food store is more beneficial than buying something hyped up on the web. Certainly I would say read the ingredients on any juice containers to see if there are any additives as well but I imagine the effectiveness of drinking Acai juice should be as effective as drinking grape juice if without additives. It is still recommended as healthy. And trying new things!

I can tell you this…I work for a financial institution and I strongly urge people not to go for the free trial. They say that you have to pay processing and handling, which is how they get your credit card information. Once you get the free trial, if you do not cancel with in 30 days they charge your card $80. IT IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT THESE PEOPLE. I have been battling rounds and rounds with them over that, and also fraudulent charges.
If you want to try to Acai Berry, then you can buy a bottle at your local GNC store, or vitamin shop for $10.00. I compared my bottle to one who purchased the “free trail” and from reading the labels the bottle I bought from GNC had more of the berry in it.
Just some information for those of you who are thinking about trying it.

I've done the 14-day Acai Berry Cleanse (I did not sign up for a free trial or purchase it online; I bought a bottle from Walgreen's). Let me just say that yes...it surely does "cleanse" your system. You'll be running to the bathroom fairly often. I did lose some unwanted bloat!

I really think that all the fuss about the acai berry diet is nothing more than that--just fuss. I do not understand how a berry can make you slimmer, even if it is loaded with antioxidants. I guess that maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I still believe that the best way to lose weight is to lead an active lifestyle and eat well.

True Veronica. These fads come around to offer a quick solution for those that are desperate to lose weight. That is how they make their money! The best way is to watch what you eat, and exercise. If you are truly overweight you can go to your doctor who can help put you on a nutrition plan. Most insurances cover this now.
