This was the major concern not too long ago, but now I never hear anything about it. What is the current status of West Nile Virus? Has it stopped spreading so rapidly, or has it just gotten out of the news media due to other epidemics?

    

I live in So. California and the West Nile Virus is still here. We find dead birds on our property but not as often as we did last year. I've never heard of a person contacting West Nile Virus in our area though. Isn't it also passed through mosquito's? Can kids contact it that way? I'm just surprised that so many birds here are dying from it but no kids are in the news having contacted it.
