Default Breast cancer

How often do you get a mammogram dfone. After heart attacks, breast cancer is the largest killer among women. A mammogram and a pap smear done regularly may save your life.
Do make it a habit to do this

Generally Breast cancer starts in the ducts or lobules of the breast. If the cancer cells spread outside the ducts or lobules of the breast into the surrounding tissue, this is called invasive breast cancer. breast cancer is an invasive breast cancer. Invasive cancer cells sometimes spread outside the breast area to other parts of the body. They do this by moving through blood vessels, such as veins, or through lymphatic vessels.

Although the precise causes of breast cancer are unclear, we know what the main risk factors are. Still, most women considered at high risk for breast cancer do not get it, while many who do have no known risk factors. Among the most significant factors are advancing age and a family history of breast cancer. Risk increases slightly for a woman who has had a benign breast lump and increases significantly for a woman who has previously had cancer of the breast or the ovaries.
this disease also sometimes develops on gene factor

I think that mm145's post was targeted more at women, but it seems that she has only men replying to what she said :-p

Hey, quick question, just curious, no other reason.. From what age do girls (or should girls) start going for such check ups?

Cancer is such a disease which cannot be detected in early stages. For breast cancer it is more prevalent among older women, who have crossed 40 years of age.It can also happen to men so look out.
In general,if you find an unexplained painless lump or bump that seems to be growing (anything over 2cm) and located anywhere on the body. You should get it examined.
