Personally I feel that women tend to neglect their health since they do so many jobs at one time that they have little time for anything else. In order to stay healthy they need to first and foremost eat well and at the right time. Which most of them do not do.

In order for a woman to maintain a healthy heart, she must have an active lifestyle and eat proper foods, such as lean proteins, whole grains and fresh fruits and veggies. And guess what else she can have? Red wine. It has flavonoids that are good for the heart.

Regular doctor visits are a must. Most women think that just because they are feeling great nothing is wrong with them. Or they think the little ache or pain will pass. Get regular check ups. You'll be glad you did.
I hadn't been to a doctor in over 4 years! For the past couple of years, I had been feeling really tired, and had brain fog. My memory was fading. I ignored it and figured it was just old age. About 6 months ago, I finally went in for a check up and guess what? I had a thyroid imbalance which was causing me to feel tired and caused the brain fog. Within a month of taking my thyroid medication, I feel 100% better. I was living again! I was no longer living in a fog!
So take care of yourself and see your doctor.
You should also make sure to eat healthy. Try to limit the amount of red meat you eat. Don't live on caffeinated drinks or sugary foods and drinks. Eat lots of veggies, beans, baked chicken. Drink water. People tend to forget to drink water so make sure you drink at least 8 glasses a day.
Exercise to keep your body in shape. Lift weights to keep your bones nice and strong.

I try to drink a lot of water, eat healthy foods (lots of whole grains, fruits, and veggies), exercise moderately, and keep up with doctor appointments. Sometimes I will indulge in high-sugar foods, but I always feel bloated and lethargic afterward. Good foods really make a difference when it comes to health.

You are so right. The types of foods you eat really makes a difference in how you feel. I used to eat food with white flour and I was always so tired afterward. Once I switched to whole grains, my energy levels went up. It's amazing what a little change can do for your health.

How true and very well written. I was a workaholic with late hours and erratic eating habits and even, my thyroid took a toss. Once I started medication and eating right and sleeping enough, things got back to normal. However, now am battling weight issues due to pregnancy.. Hopefully, weight will go down soon. I think sleeping at least 6 hours and staying hydrated as well as eating sensibly are key to maintaining good health, physically and mentally.
