Default Morning After Pill Side Effects

Hi everyone,
Wondering if anyone has taken the morning-after pill and experienced any side-effects?/ I've taken it twice and have experienced nausea, upset tummy and body ache for at least one whole day. Just wondering if I should take it again ever or should I just switch to the regular pill, though even that really doesn't suit me??

The morning-after pill is only for emergency situations. Saying your choices are between the morning-after pill and regular birth-control pill, is ridiculous. I am very hormone sensitive, and love the Mirena IUD. There are diaphragms and condoms and other non-hormone ways to prevent pregnancy without wreaking havock on your body with the m-a pill.

What you have experienced with Plan B is totally normal but I agree with the previous poster that this should not be used casually for birth control. It says so on the label as well. It might help to read up on various types of birth control methods so you can be informed. Your body is worth it.

I don't endorse any chemical or hormonal pill. I use lemon juice and Vitamin C as birth control. It's all natural and much safer.

Lemon juice used with a sponge- I use a natural sea sponge- has been proven by science to kill over 99% of sperm in 20 seconds. It also kills the HIV virus on contact. Scientists are telling women in 3rd world countries to use lemon juice because it is easier to get than 'traditional' birth control there.

Basically sperm can't live in an acidic environment- lemon juice is nothing but acids. Even if you forget to use the sponge you can douche with a half water half lemon juice solution and you're pretty good to go.

For vitamin C, it blocks pregesterone to keep anything from implanting, just liek The Pill or the Morning After Pill. For 3 to 5 days after unprotected sex take up to 3,000 mg of cheap Vitamin C, I say cheap because it has the ingredient you need, Ascorbic Acid. No additives, because mixes can keep it from working.

Good luck!

I agree that the morning after pill should not be used as a method of birth control; I believe they even advise that on the package. If you are going to be sexually active and do not want to become pregnant then you should use a daily method of birth control (Pill, IUD), or condoms.

Thanks everyone.. While I don't use the M-A pill on a regular basis, it was bcos we were out of condoms twice (!!). Anyways, I'll be staying off it for now and am switching to a regular pill. Am not very comfortable with the idea of an IUD, simply because I've heard horror stories of it causing an infection inside. Is that true?? My gynae says 'no' bt friends say 'yes'.

Anything put into your body can cause a reaction. My Mother in law had to have hers removed because of one. My cousin's wife- she got pregnant on the Mirena.

I still say using natural methods are best. BUT- the NuvaRing is amazing.

A month of headaches, spotting, then the next month felt like heaven. It makes you have stronger and better Big O's, too.
