I have been told that distorted toenails are caused by a fungus or cold in your toe?
IDK...Do any of you have this diabetic looking toe nails that get thick and hurt?
If so,what do you do for them or recommend?
I have one toe nail that is like that, and I was told to use Listerine mouth wash to soak the toe in twice a day for 2 weeks and it helps clear it up. I only lasted about 3 days doing it and I could tell a difference.
My husband has horrible toenails. They are yellow and disfigured and ugly. He started using a tonic he made from tea tree oil, lemongrass oil and thyme oil. After rubbing the oil on his toenail every morning after his shower for two months, you can see the new growth come in and it looks normal.
My dad was diabetic and had the ugliest, yellowest, thickest, cracked toenails I've ever seen. I didn't realized that it could've been caused by his diabetes. I always thought he just didn't take care of them.
My brother might have diabetes so I am going to write down the remedies you all listed and give the list to him.

I have heard a few people say that they have to take their parents to the foot doctor to get their toe nails clipped. When I looked confused, they stated that diabetics toe nails are really bad and if not cut properly they can get infected.
Thankyou for all the responses...lol
I actually have one toe on each foot that does not look right.
Although nobody but me notices it.I keep them polished since it bothers me.
They used to be pretty...lol
My big toe-nail doesn't grow in the centre, there is just flesh there! and the other big toe and my thumbs look as though they will go the same way eventually! I'm 70, skinny, never smoked. Not really worried, just curious
