Hi,
I've found that using cucumber slices, cool teabags or potato slices really help with puffy eyes and dark circles. I got plenty of these when I was night-feeding my baby and cucumber slices would feel really nice and refreshing on my tired eyes. However, the best remedy would be getting adequate sleep (if only!)There are plenty of cosmetics as well that help with underye circles. I don;t use them so can;t really recommend any.. Do try the cucumber slices, though.

There are many factors that can cause the dark circles, including hereditary. I found this article that you might find interesting if you want to check it out.

Hope that helps. There are suggestions to help reduce the circles as well as reasons.

- Use ice pack for treating black eyes.
- Place ice pack on the bruised eyes for 10 minutes and take it off for 5 minutes. Repeat this procedure for 1\2 an hour.
- Place cucumber on the eyes if dark circles are present around the eyes.
- Consume papaya and pineapple up to 2-3 days. This will help in removing the discoloration from the eyes.
- Apply castor oil on the affected eyes. This will reduce the swelling of the eyes.
- Mix 2 tablespoon of salt with 2 tablespoon lard and vegetable shortening. Spread this mixture on the affected closed eyes. This will help in circulation of the blood of the affected area.

I read that we get dark circles under our eyes because as we age, the skin under our eyes gets thinner. I've tried everything to hide the dark circles but haven't found anything that works. There are a few tips in this thread that I haven't tried which I plan on trying. I'll let you all know if anything works.

I am approaching 40 and I don’t have too many lines and wrinkles, but I have dark eye circles pretty bad. I have tried Vitamin K. I read that worked but not with me. Please post if you find anything that works.

Ahhh, cucumbers do feel nice on your eyes. I also use cucumber slices and find they make my eyes feel refreshed, but don't help too much with the circles. Both, me and my teenage daughter get dark circles. She is good at covering hers with make-up but they do bother her. She tried that Garnier eye roller, it didn't help with the circles. Apparently it works great for puffiness--but that is not our problem.
There are some great tips here on this thread that I too want to try. I am sure changes in our diet will help, as well as getting more sleep. I have tried so many eye creams and none of them have worked. I think treating the problem from the inside will work better than just covering them up.

Overall Solution
Hi fairywiththepen... Toddler Mom has given all the solutions that I wanted to give you. If you want to go for cosmetics, give a try for the Amway's dark circle's cream. It is worth trying. Also, if you've tried all of the above replies mentioned, then why don't you look up for such tips in the magazines like Femina. I'm sure they'll have many such cool tips.
