Default Body image

Has anyone here had that body image problem where what you see in your mind is disproportionate to the image in the mirror? I have struggled with that-I finally woke up when I tried to put on my size 8s and realized my body was a size 20. Finally after that I was able to lose weight.

Actually I've heard about it in the opposite way. Where girls who are struggling with body image and sometimes are anorexic or bulimic believe they are larger than they are. I’ve always wondered how and why they think they’re bigger than they really are.

I personally have the opposite problem. No matter how much weight I lose I still look in the mirror and think I am fat. I will stand in front of the mirror and critique every fold, crease, and roll on my body until my husband comes in and covers the mirror up.
