Default Osteoporosis - is it a silent killer ?

Osteoporosis strikes one out of every 4 women over the age of 40. It makes the bones brittle and even the smallest of falls can lead to a fracture.
The preventive - eat and drink anything that has a lot of calcium in it such as milk products.
Cure - there are tablets which need to be taken once a week - they do not cure it but stop it from getting worse.

Osteoporosis is a bone disorder that causes weakening of the bones and can result in tremendous pain from fractures. It is most common in post menopausal women. Risk factors for osteoporosis include age, being female, low body weight, decreased sex hormones, smoking, and taking certain medications. There are no symptoms of this bone disease, so it is important to talk to your doctor about screenings.
