Default Should women do different exercises ?

The trainer at my gym always emphasises the fact that women should do slightly different exercises from the men. I can understand this logic for the older women - because they have hormonal problems and a lot of them deal with the onset of osteoporosis - but am not sure that I agree with this for those who are young and active

I think women in general should do a different routine than men. Naturally men are more tolerant to pain and strenuous activities, while the women are more prone to tire out after a heavy workout.

This applies specially with mature women.

Ha! You'll have to try childbirth sometime. Or maybe a really bad case of menstrual cramps.

In all seriousness, studies have shown that men have stronger upper strength than women and women have stronger LOWER strength than men. Makes sense since we're the ones having the babies!

I think women have a higher tolerance to pain; we just let men think they are the strong ones, lol!!

Anyhow, I can see where women would need to do slightly different exercises than men based on the goal. Most women like to tone, and not get bulky. Also women like to firm there behind and legs, I don’t see a bunch of men doing squats trying to get a firm rear end.

Women tend to carry more body fat in their thighs and rear than men do, so I can see why a specific set of exercises for the lower body would be beneficial. I just wish I could find some exercises that would really firm my rear end!

Default women should do light exercises

I think that women should not do the same exercises as the men do because of less haemoglobin and weak musculature.
It is also fact that women have less tolerance power. So they should avoid so heavy exercise.
